In the Classroom

What better way to demonstrate the science behind photosynthesis than to watch it happen in the windowsill or school garden?

California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom provides this, and many other ideas, for students to see—and touch—a physical example of academic concepts. CFAITC is a free source of teacher-tested, research-based ideas, resources and curriculum materials that support agriculture education and encourage students to engage in real-life concepts.

Discover the unmistakable ways that math, science, language arts, history, nutrition, physical activity and the fine arts can be enhanced using examples from the world of farming and ranching. With Ag in the Classroom, students of any grade level and any ability will create a direct connection between textbook curriculum and life outside of the classroom.
